Auricular - from the Latin for ear - involves the insertions of small acupuncture needles in to the ear. There are researches suggesting it can be beneficial for a range of health conditions (e.g. substance use disorder recovery, anxiety, pain management).
This method aims to address stagnant energy which is believed to cause inflammation. Inflammation could be the underlying cause of variety of conditions associated with chronic pain. Rubbing the skin’s surface is believed to help break up this stagnant energy, reducing the inflammation and promoting healing.
Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture that passes a small electric current between pairs of acupuncture needles. The sensation is usually mild and feels like a small vibration in the vicinity of the needles.
This is a suction only method, bleeding is not involved. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This helps relieve muscle tension, improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair.
Moxibustion is a form of a heat therapy. The treatment involves burning special ground, dried plant materials - called moxa - close to the surface of the skin. This stimulates the flow of Qi through the meridians and dispels certain pathogenic factors.
Chinese medicine is designed to help keeping our body "balanced" or "neutral". A session will focus on Chinese food cures, reviews individual circumstances and gives personalised advice.
